This is a side mount system on the stairs and a top mount system on the landings. Note that the top clevis on the posts on the right side at the beginning of the spiral staircase extends out so that the wall mount rail would not require a gooseneck transition. Instead, it carries on to the bottom of the staircase as a continuous line without interruption.
